Mazel tov Isaac, the Bar Mitzvah

Isaac is a super nice young man who loves the San Francisco Giants, his new labradoodle puppy, his friends, candy and his little sister (not necessarily in that order).

For each b’nai mitzvah, I offer a FREE portrait session so they can use the photo as a synagogue announcement portrait and as a matted sign-in at the party.  Isaac just got this fluffy puppy so of course we had to photograph him with his puppy.

The bar mitzvah was held at Sinai Temple in Oakland.  I hadn’t’ been there since they remodeled and it’s now an outstanding building with its original, classic sanctuary.  Isaac hit a home run with his chanting and dash. Following the service, Isaac and guests went across the street to the Z Cafe to celebrate.  The Z Cafe is housed in the old Cadillac show room on Oakland’s Auto Row.  Like a Caddy, the Cafe has old-fashion charm and details and is perfectly suited for a dance party.  Kids dined on burgers and gorged on candy and at an ice cream bar.

My assistant Sylvia staffed a Photo Booth with lots of fun masks and hats and the DJ kept the kids dancing and playing games.  Barbara Kweller, Event Planner Extraordinaire, planned and decorated the party room and kept thing running smoothly.   Wonderful day, wonderful family and guests.  I was thrilled to be part of the day and help create the memory.
